Nikka Japanese Whisky Dinner

Whisky Global comes to Kelowna this October, and the weekend starts at Hotel Eldorado with a Japanese whisky tasting dinner.

Natino Bellantoni, known as Canada's godfather of Japanese whisky, guides guests through four Nikka expressions: Taketsuru Pure Malt, Miyagikyo Single Malt, Yoichi Single Malt and Coffey Malt. Each one is paired with a course from our culinary team, built on Okanagan produce.

The evening opens with a Nikka Days welcome cocktail. Five tasting-menu courses follow, each plated in three to five bites, including:

• White tea poached Hokkaido scallop with preserved peach and white tea mousse, paired with Taketsuru Pure Malt
• Binchotan-seared Japanese A5 Wagyu with smoked Okanagan morels and dashi, paired with Coffey Malt
• Midnight in Kyoto, a Valrhona dark chocolate crémeux with whisky caramel, black sesame and yuzu

Seating is limited to 100 guests.
